I know, I know…two posts in one day?! Yes, this is really happening. No need to adjust your glasses or change your contacts. 

If you’re anything like me, you love sweets! My sweet tooth is equivalent to a man’s red meat tooth. This is assuming that guys have one of these. If they did, it would be HUGE! (I’m assuming) So, what do people like us do when it is the middle of the Holiday season and parties are scheduled sometimes 2 or 3 nights a week? Not to mention all of the office snacks that are taunting you as if to say “eat me. you know I taste good. One little bite won’t hurt”. True. One little bite may not hurt. However, if you can stop at one LITTLE bite, you are much stronger than I am! 

So, here are my 4 tips to keep your focus on your fitness goal and eating healthy:

1) When tempted, immediately start drinking water. This will curb your cravings.

2) Take Shakeology and have it as a snack (or meal replacement) if you’re at work. If you’re going to a party, drink some before going if you’re unsure of what will be served.

3) When going to work and you know there will be sweets there taunting you, take your own healthier option to snack on when tempted to grab for those cookies. When going to a party, offer to bring a dish (this way you know there will be at least one healthy option you can eat). If they decline your offer, snack one healthy options at home before you go. Of, if you are good friends with them, just ask them what will be served. 

4) When tempted, immediately walk away (yes, you can even hide in the bathroom at work or at someone’s house for a few minutes) and do 10 squats, lunges, pushups, or crunches (you can even do crunches standing up!). 

Remember to keep your fitness goal in focus this Holiday Season as you enjoy time with friends and family. YOU are at a prime time to be an example to those around you to start living a healthy lifestyle! What an opportunity!
